What to expect from my first session?
SingersOur first session is considered a trial, which provides an opportunity for me to understand where your voice is currently at, have a bit of a chat, and allow yourself a chance to assess whether it's the right fit. This will include: an introduction, chat about previous experience/challenges/strengths/goals, body work (think stretches and body awareness), vocal care and warm ups, singing a song, and make a plan for our work together. SongwritersOur first session will cover your songwriting experience, what artists/genres you lean towards, your songwriting goals, and begin some collaborative writing! We will lean on useful songwriting tools and tips, which you are encouraged utilise at home to strengthen your songwriting ability.Aspiring Artists (Artist Development)Our first session will start with a chat, discussing your goals, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and hopes for our work together. We may begin working on a variety of things, including but not limited to: developing your vocal ability, songwriting ability, learning how to record a demo, learning how to set up audio gear, or discussing gig opportunities/plan to book and perform (with the option of myself playing alongside you for support).
Can parents sit in on sessions?
Of course!
Feel free to bring a book to keep you occupied.
Parents are encouraged to take note of the work we do, so that they can best support and encourage practise at home.
